There should be a teacher when u chat in English. He/She can tell u the grammar mistakes. Otherwise, the improvement in English is a tough thing.

maybe不分开用是副词。但是可以分开用。只是性质完全不一样了。分开后may相当于can，be就是谓语动词。
举例：
Maybe it is a good idea.
It may be a good idea.
两者完全等同。

语法上来说没有错。至于语境上，你平时不也在说可能因为什么什么的吗？这种英语口语里漫天飞，不是Chinglish。
