Chinese-speaking Consultant
Two leading international charities, Compassion in World Farming Trust and the Humane Society International, are seeking a consultant to carry out an in-depth study into livestock farming in China. We estimate the time-period for this project at 6-9 months, beginning in mid-2005.
Applicants must:
Read and speak standard Chinese (putonghua)
Write fluently in English
Have an understanding of strategic principles and economic forces
Have excellent project development skills, research skills, proven report-writing ability and ability to meet deadlines
Be strongly self-motivated and have excellent inter-personal skills
Be willing to spend time researching in China and, if resident in China, be willing and able to travel to the UK/US
Have an interest in, or willingness to learn about and incorporate concepts of, animal welfare into written reports
