【4】One of Conservation International's top 20 surprising species


The Gola malimbe(反曲线精织雀), Malimbus ballmanni(保氏精织雀), was seen in

the Diecke Forest, in south-east Guinea, in 2003. Previously it was known only

in eastern Sierra Leone, Liberia, and western Ivory Coast. The Gola Forest is

due to be designated as a national park in Sierra Leone, which should protect

the bird's habitat. Scientists are looking into the ecological requirements of the

species to understand why it seems to be restricted to a very small part of the

forest.

这只保氏精织雀发现于2003年，发现地为几内亚东南方的德克森林。此前，保氏精织雀

只发现于塞拉利昂东部、利比里亚和科特迪瓦西部。这种鸟在塞拉利昂的戈拉森林中，

不是，世界上肯定有和那里气候差不多的地方，而为什么哪些地方都没有这种鸟？？？还是这种鸟被上帝给圈养在那里了....
