Médecins Sans Frontières-France (MSF) is seeking a “Medical Doctor” for its HIV/AIDS care and treatment program in Nanning. 　　Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a Non-Governmental International Humanitarian Medical Organization. Both Belgium and French sections are present in China. MSF-France runs for now one program HIS/AIDS in Nanning (Guangxi), and will implement a second project in 2007 (MDF/TB).
　　The MSF/CDC HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care &Treatment Program has been established since 2003 to provide free access to testing, diagnosis treatment and care to HIV/AIDS affected individuals within MSF catchment area.
　　The MSF/CDC HIV/AIDS Treatment clinic works in cooperation with the Guangxi CDC. The clinic has been authorized to provide treatment, free of charge, to any HIV+ people coming from Nanning City.
　　The project’s focus is to provide access to patients who live in Nanning City with a specific emphasis towards destitute people and others excluded from care.
　　I- Main duties
　　The medical doctor will manage patient care and treatment by taking active contribution in MSF comprehensive Care and Treatment Program.
　II- Job specifications
　　Medical tasks:
　　·     Conduct daily clinical consultations in the MSF/Gx CDC HIV Clinic
　　·     Participate to ward rounds once or twice per week in the HIV ward of the reference infectious disease hospital where MSF admits patients severely sick, to ensure optimal coordination of patient care and treatment with the hospital medical doctors in charge.
　　·     Follow-up of patients in coordination with clinic team, including checking blood results, patient referrals and coordination of care to other medical facilities
　　·     Liaise with counseling and other medical staff to enhance patient management
　　·     Maintaining close relationship with Medical community and hospital of reference.
　　·     In all circumstances, follow the MSF protocols and project standard procedures
　　·     After training, occasional dispensing of drugs if pharmacist on leave
　　·     Teaching role: CDC interns, clinic staff, community lectures related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment
　　·     May occasionally be requested to assist in organization of pharmacy stock
　　Data management:
　　·     Quality checking of patient record entries
　　·     Assist in the collation of medical data for the data entry clerk
　　Administrative tasks:
　　·     Assist the MSF international staff with oral translations in seeing patients and in discussions with Chinese counterparts
　　·     Assist MSF international staff with written translations of medical protocols and/or articles, etc.
　　·     Assist the clinic in building up the medical library, especially in relation to Chinese language documents, articles, and books related to HIV/AIDS care and other pertinent documents
　　·     Read and report on Chinese national and regional press and scientific articles to help keep international staff updated on new developments within the scientific community in China
　　·     Assist in organizing medical technical meetings
　　Other tasks:
　　·     Participate in clinic outreach activities
　　·     Non-medical translation, at times, to assist team in activities such as outreach, official discussions, etc.
　　·     Attend any staff meetings or any other meetings that are relevant as required/requested and provide input as required/requested
　　·     Other tasks as specifically required
　　Profile required:
　　·     Medical degree
　　·     Deep understanding and sharing of MSF values and principles
　　·     Good understanding of HIV/AIDS related issues
　　·     Good spoken and written English preferable but not compulsory
　　·     Excellent ability in communicating with people of all walks of life
　　·     Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
　　·     Ability to work independently
　　·     Has initiative and leadership
　　·     Flexible, organized and committed
　　·     Computer skills
