tree planting campaign of the “Mother River P rotection”

In 2001,the Huanqing Association determined to go to the Chenggong Haiyan village of Kunming and plant trees as our activities of summer holiday in order to respond the call of protecting our mother river . The action was totally 18 days started from July11th to 29th .We all planted thousands of trees . Beside , the Green Ecological Network and forestry agency as well as local committee of country tried their best to sponsor activities of planting trees.

During this activities , not only did schoolmates of Huanqing Association , but also contained schoolmates as well as friends came from Medicine Science University of Guangxi and Japan.

Huanqing participation view bird competition activity

  The every year April first week is China's love bird week, called Huanqing joins “Yunnan Province in 2002 `to love bird week'” on invitation the activity, observed the bird to protect the bird competition 9:30 to hold in the morning on March 30 in the Kunming zoo honorable entrance.

This view bird competition by Huanqing 2 to instruct teacher and 13 members as well as Huanqing propaganda department to participation together completes . On March 30 and six gathers the thin bamboo view bird in the palace reservoir, on March 31 in the Heilongtan park view bird, on April 1 carries on the playbill propaganda in the cloud big campus.

  In two day-long view bird competition, the member has grasped the view bird knowledge basically, altogether distinguished the birds 22 kinds to strengthen schoolmate to like the bird protecting bird's consciousness, after the activity had ended, member in campus initiative view bird, and wrote view bird achievement one, the member observes the bird to feel certain.

At in this view bird competition final contention, Huanqing obtains this view bird to compete first.

The Central Journey to The Three River Parallel

Time : July15,2000-August15,2000

Subject : Publicizing environmental protection and investigating the local ecology

Goals:

1. Carrying out the investigation along the road and completing the relevant reports to media or government combined for promoting local environmental working

2. Consulting professors in accordance with the investigation information and giving some advice to local sustainable development

3. Answer the call of the Central Youth League of the Green Project Hope , Protecting Mother River and College Students to the countryside for publicizing and popularizing the environmental knowledge

4. Reflecting the spirits and responsibilities of Wisdoms from many and Justice for All , of the students for Yunnan University

Process

All the members were divided into three groups to Jingsha River , Lancang River and Nu River separately over a span of 28 days . They set feet on the area of the Three River Parallel and the neighbouring towns and villages, meanwhile, researched on the local ecological distraction , the economics of minority people and the preservation of primeval forests.

The activity organized by Yunnan and Fudan University was supported by all walks of life. Provincial Technological Association , Environmental Protection Bureau and Provincial committing of Youth League had given energetic support . Beside, many news agencies in Kunming paid much attention to it

Reducing Cards For Saving Books

In 1998, Huanqing Association launched “Reducing Cards For Saving Books” for the first time and wrote proposals which were handed out to every class about refusing cards

In 1999, our association launched this activity in a larger scale by the means of slogan , bulletin and signing names etc . Beside, our members rode round the city route to send the proposal sheets to Normal University , National University as well as some middle and elementary schools. This activity had obtained the attention and support of students. Kunming Television made a special program for it. By the way , this activity remains to be held every year.

During December 17 to 19,2001,our association launched “Reducing Cards For Saving Books” in the subject of Green Greeting again when the Christmas Day and the New Year were around the corner .

99 Green Hope Ten-Thousand Tour

30 people joined this activity . They were divided into 5 groups to northeast, northwest , southeast ,southern and western Yunnan Province. They rode on the main roads for publicizing environmental protection and green environmental engineering and walked by foot through the branch roads for social investigation ,this journey was over a span of 36days ,which was departed from Kunming to five different edges of Yunnan and was 1200 kilometers long ,the chief targets of this investigation ：the negative side of tourism to local place of cultural interest and natural environment ,the condition of natural reserve ,the condition of wildlife protection, the cultures of ethnic minority ,the influence of religion to environmental protection etc.

Jinzhi River

Jinzhi River is one of the six rivers of Kunming and also one of the four well-known rivers in the history.

In the period of May and June, 1999, student of Huanqing association publicized envisaged and took the “Sample of Water” near the Tanhua temple. Then they publicized agoin in the campus of Yunnan University and developed the activity concerning theme of Saving the Jinzhi River, appealing people to pay attention to this condition, hoping it can save this historic river.

Two years later, namely at the late of May and the early of June in 2001, environmental college and environment protection leagne of Yunnan University . Fudan University . Beijin University . Nankai University . Nanjing University . Zhongshan University . Sichuan University . Shenzheng University and many other institutions of higher college held an activity together, which made an appeal to people for eyeing environment water and city and eyeing the administering of urban river, it introduced and approached the situation of administering and protecting to many areas of rivers which cross through the city, such as Jinzhi river of Kunming, Suzhou river of Shanghai, Kunyu river of Beijin, Qinhuai river of Nanjing, Tianjing section of Hai river, Guangzhou section of Zhujiang river and Chendu nan fu river and so on.

Huanqing association took charge of the Jinzhi river of Kunming for the activity. Its theme is eyeing environment ,water and city, vesting Jinzhi river again. They mainly used the exhibiting, leaflets and posters and many other ways to publicize it.
