POSITION TITLE (ENGLISH): Campaigner
POSITION TITLE (CHINESE): 项目主任 PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Campaigner will provide specialized campaign expertise in Greenpeace’s ongoing or emerging campaign works as designated by the Campaign Director or his/her designate. Through participation on Greenpeace China and Greenpeace International Campaign Team(s) the Campaigner is directly involved in the development and implementation of campaign strategies, proposals and policy. The Campaigner will also work with external coalition partners to further Greenpeace’s campaign goals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provides campaign expertise with respect to a specialized campaign area. Keeps abreast of issues.Conducts investigations.
2.Works with teammates to develop and implement effective campaign plans and strategies to draw attention to ecological abuse (e.g. through non violent direct confrontations, spectacular actions, lobbying, various outreach events).
3.Maintains an active liaison with potential and established allied groups and coalition partners. Actively seeks out and participates in discussions with influential individuals and groups. Communicates with national/ provincial/ local officials related to environment policies and issues.
4.Researches and analyzes a wide range of specialized material on campaign issues and strategies. May be required to do media work.
5.Promotes support within Greenpeace to advance campaign goals. Works with other teammates and organizes rallies, protests, demonstrations, actions, community activities and other public events. Makes presentations and responds to public speaking requests. Initiates requests with strategically targeted groups.
6.Responds to public inquiries about campaign issues and other matters. Prepares materials and publications.Attends and/or organizes conferences.
7.Other duties as assigned by the Campaign Manager.

5.Tact and Enthusiasm: to function effectively within a highly charged atmosphere, under public scrutiny.
6.Computer Skills: to utilize word processing and telecommunications capabilities; to develop written materials on campaign issues and strategies.
KNOWLEDGE
1.Knowledge of the overall goals and intent of Greenpeace (including policies, guidelines, programs, campaigns and project activities): to lead campaign activities in support of the world's largest environmental protection group.
2.Knowledge of environment/ecology issues in general: to provide specialized campaign expertise; to promote a precautionary approach to genetic engineering and long-term viability and biodiversity of ecosystems in China and Internationally.
3.Knowledge of the media including responsibilities, equipment, techniques, policies, practices, scope, audience, tactics, structure, impact: to use the media to further campaign objectives; to increase awareness and gain public support; to communicate with relevant industry and government.
4.Knowledge of campaign techniques, strategies and practices: to provide key leadership and assume the role of campaign specialist with respect to a critical area of ecological concern.

LOCATION: Beijing
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for providing full spectrum of day-to-day HR and Admin supports and services in Beijing region.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Responsible for reception duties:
1)Answering telephone, internal and external information requests
2)Greeting visitors to the office
3)Distributing incoming fax, mail, parcel and relevant information as appropriate
4)Internal telephone directory update
2.Provide administrative support and facilitate all aspects of office administration:
1)Arrange outgoing mail, correspondence and materials by post or fax or courier
2)Oversee printing, and dispatch service and conference room booking
3)Office cleaning and alarm system
4)Assist to maintain & improve office premises, equipment & facilities
5)To keep inventory, to replenish and distribution of household products, refreshment and stationary
6)Arrange logistics for meetings and ensure that necessary preparations are done
Ensure office tidiness
7)Travel and accommodation arrangements and visa application for visitors and travellers
8)Keep in touch with the landlord of BJ apartment and handling the relevant business including cleaning services, property managing etc.
9)To assist the administration of insurance scheme
10)Participate in identifying and organising recreational activities i.e. outing, annual dinner, contest, Christmas celebration and birthday party, etc.
3.Perform general Human Resources functions:
1)Assist in providing staff recruitment service and training
2)Handle employee attendance record
3)Annual leave record
4.IT Responsibilities:
1)Coordinate the IT matters with the supplier and IT colleagues
2)Maintenance of IT equipments and internet services
5.Others
1)An occasional travel
2)Outdoor work is required
3)Provide support for the Executive Director on request
4)To assist in implementing the ad hoc projects or duties as instructed by the HR & HR & Admin Manager or the Executive Director
5)Operate other general tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS:
1.University graduate
2.Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources and Administration functions
3.Familiar with local employment practices
4.Able to work under pressure with occasional travel;
5.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6.Proficiency in both spoken and written English
7.Sound PC knowledge of MS office
8.General computing maintenance skills
9.Sound Intranet and Internet knowledge
