Founded in May 11, 2007, Narada Foundation is a private foundation approved and supervised by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China, with a registered capital of 100 million Yuan donated by Shanghai Narada Group. The mission of Narada Foundation is to foster civil society, which means Narada Foundation focus on China’s problems in transition, making grants for excellent programs conducted by non-profit organizations so as to foster civil innovation and help build a harmonious society.
With the accelerating of China’s urbanization, an increasing amount of migrant workers are pouring into urban areas, which has caused multitudes of difficulties and problems for migrant children’s education, mental health, morality. The failure to address these problems will not only have a disadvantageous impact upon migrant children’s individual growth, but also lead to serious consequences for the future of our country and society. In order to improve migrant children’s growing environment, Narada Foundation made a decision to launch The New Citizen Program and make grants through projects bidding by non-profit organizations dedicated to developing volunteer services in education for migrant children and to bring them loving care. Narada will make donations for the construction of non-government non-profit schools for migrant children.
Narada Foundation is now looking for a program officer, job description and requirements as below:
I, Responsibilities:
1, Responsible for assisting grants application, program review, management and evaluation;
2, Prepare for program assessment; organize quality inspection of key programs funded by Narada Foundation;
3, Improve current program management system;
4, Monitor the process of funded programs and ensure programs are implemented according to the contracts;
5, Evaluate programs outcomes and improve funding efficiency;
6, Develop new programs to meet social needs.
II, Basic requirement:
1, In-depth understanding of the mission of Narada Foundation and the aim of New Citizen Project;
2, Integrity, kindhearted, have public service spirit;
3, Outgoing, good communication skills, motivated, proactive, creative, responsible and good team spirit;
III, Essential Qualifications:
1, Bachelor’s degree or above in social work, management or relevant majors;
2, Minimum 3-year working experience in relevant fields; fluent Chinese and English.
3,Strong responsibility, good organizing, coordinating, communicating and management skills.
4, Care about migrant children and have sense of mission in helping them;
5, Have the ability of developing, managing and evaluating programs, as well as certain ability to study and research;
6, Have penetrating insights on the process of operating non-profit programs;
7, Have certain knowledge about environment of the third sector both at home and abroad, familiar with the current situation of NGO/NPO.
IV, Hours of duty and location:
1, Hours of duty: Monday to Friday, except national legal holidays;
2, Location:Chaoyang District, Beijing
