Euro-Asia Symposium
on Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
–From Rhetoric to Practice

Aims and Scope
As part of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Programme for research of German Universities in Developing Countries, the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology, in association with the Center of Urban Planning and Environmental Management (CUPEM), The University of Hong Kong, are pleased to announce the Euro-Asia Symposium on Environment and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) – From Rhetoric to Practice. The symposium will be held on 17 November in the University of Hong Kong.

This 1-day symposium aims to provide a platform for bringing together researchers and practitioners in the area of environment and CSR from both Europe and Asia region to communicate and share experience.

Suggested Themes
·  Corporate Environmental Management;
·  Corporate Social Responsibilities and Business Ethics;
·  Corporate Sustainable Management;
·  Environmental Management and Urban Ecological Economy;
·  Corporate Management and Cyclical Economy
·  Cases of successful application of the CSR and EMS

Guide for Paper Submission:
·  The paper should be written in English and no longer than 3000 words
·  Please send the paper in word document to conference coordinators
·  The deadline of submission is Oct. 05, 2006

Publication:

Papers accepted by the organizers will be published by a German publisher after the symposium.

Remark：

Participants need to pay for all their expenses in HK as well as fees for the symposium
