苏格兰皇家银行与中国银行联合成立的信用卡合资企业，开业后第一年已签下近百万用户，充分表明这家英国银行当初备受争议的16亿美元投资正在产生回报。
Royal Bank of Scotland's credit card joint venture operation with Bank of China has signed up close to a million users in its first year, the clearest indication to date that the British bank's controversial $1.6bn investment is yielding results.

中国拥有13亿人口，而信用卡发行量仅有1500万张。不过，随着中国经济增长，中产阶级队伍将不断壮大，预计到2010年，信用卡用户将飙升至9000万。
China has only 15m credit cards in circulation among its population of 1.3bn, but usage is expected to soar to 90m by 2010 as the booming economy swells the country's middle class.
