WWF, the global conservation organization that has been working in China for 32 years, is looking for a highly skilled professional to be an Amur Tiger Programme Coordinator (Chang Chun) for the Conservation Operations in WWF China to be based in Changchun. This position will report to the Head of Northeast China Programme Office.
Amur Tiger Programme Coordinator (Chang Chun)

Function:
1. Developing and managing the Amur tiger / leopard project in Northeast China under the overall framework of WWF Amur Heilong Eo-region Complex Programme strategy.
2. Developing and managing Sino-Russian trans-boundary cooperation work relating Amur / leopard conservation in Northeast China.
3. Build and maintain the strategic and cooperative relationship with key stakeholders in Northeast China.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Develop and update conservation strategies / proposals / work-plans / monitoring plans relating to Amur tiger / leopard conservation in Northeast China under the overall framework
of WWF strategies and action plans.
2. Manage the implementation of Amur tiger / leopard conservation projects in Northeast China.
3. Develop and manage the Sino-Russian trans-boundary strategy / workplan
4. Maintain good relationship with WWFChina species team and WWF network (WWF Tiger Alive Initiative team/ WWF Russian Far East team) and frequently contact to update relevant
projects’ process.
5. Communicate and share project outcome / achievement internally and externally, including report / exchange visit / workshop.
6. Seek opportunities for magnifying project impact and fund leverage.
7. Develop and maintain strategic partnership for raising WWF’s profile and influence.
8. Promote the partnerships locally and nationally to facilitate the project implementation effectively and efficiently.
9. Other tasks allocated by Head of WWFChina – Northeast China Programme Office
Working Relationship:
1. Internal: Immediate supervisor is the Head of WWFChina - Northeast China Programme Office. Also work closely with other members of Northeast China Programme Office, other
WWF CPO colleagues; and WWF Network colleagues.
2. External: Regular interactions with project partners, government officials, other NGOs, local communities, donors, etc.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in responsible positions relevant to this position.
2. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. forest, conservation, project management or in a relevant field is preferred.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English.
4. High level of competence in project management, communications, marketing /corporate and public relations communications. Excellent ability to work cross-culturally, proposal writing, policy analysis and information management
5. Excellent inter-personal skills, and team work skills including ability to internal communication, open mind strategic think, self-motivated and innovative and meet deadlines
6. Good current understanding of nature conservation issues and strategies; as well as well understanding of WWF’s work in China and in NEC.
7. Proactive, innovative and output-oriented personality
8. A high degree of personal integrity and commitment to conservation;
9. Ability to meet deadlines and develop partnership.
