FHI have set up office in China since October 2003. Due to the expansion of our programming, we invite you to join our team for the following vacancy:
POSITION TITLE: Program Officer(项目官员)
LOCATION: Guangxi, China
BASIC FUNCTION:
Based in Guangxi Province, the primary function of the Program Officer is to develop, monitor, and coordinate technical assistance for FHI sub-grants to partners in Guangxi including those in Pingxiang, Ningming, Nanning, and other sites to be determined. S/he will ensure that projects adhere to the implementation schedule, and rapidly identify and help resolve obstacles to implementation. S/he will ensure thorough and timely documentation of project progress and results.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Demonstrated understanding of issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and its impact at community level.
• Demonstrated experience with planning, implementation and evaluation of training, and other capacity building approaches.
• Ability to work with and strengthen government systems in China.
• Ability to work well with others and to motivate and foster a team spirit, both among counterparts, colleagues and implementing agency staff.
• Ability to work and travel in rural areas.
MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:
• Master degree in health related fields.
• Experience in health system strengthening and service delivery in developing country.
• Experience in strengthening capacity of Chinese government health services at county level.
• Knowledge and experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care programs.
• Ability to monitor projects, set priorities and plan for the successful implementation of programs.
• Excellent Chinese and English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain good working relationship among project staff and collaborators.
