WWF, the global conservation organization that has been working in China for 27 years, is looking for a highly skilled professional to be a Program Finance and Admin Officer for the Conservation Operations in WWF China Programme Office to be based in Shanghai.
This position will report to the Leader of Shanghai Programme of WWF HSBC Climate Partnership Yangtze Programme.


Program Finance and Admin Officer-Shanghai Office
Major Function:

Support the work of WWF HSBC climate partnership Yangtze Program (the Programmer) in the lower Yangtze and Estuary
Ensure appropriate finance & administration work is provided to the Programme implementation;
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Management:

Implement and maintain sound financial policies and procedures for the Programme implementation to comply with WWF International and donor requirements.
Variance analyse in project budget and activities against the actual results. Assist in the development of budget revision and communicate to donors.
Works compliance with the established WWF China program office financial policy and procedures.
Monitor office actual operation cost against annual budget. Provide reports of finance and office operation each quarter.
Provide finance and office running information timely, to attend the quarterly meeting with HSBC, WWF annual meeting, and half-yearly meeting within team etc. as requested.
Prepare daily financial transactions. Call funds from Beijing office.
Collect and review third parties’ financial report. Ensure the accuracy and timely completion of all programmatic reporting requirements. Review third parties expenditure to ensure that the spending profile is in line with approved contractual budget.
Summarize and identify problems on quarterly basis by reviewing financial reports from third parties, and provide solutions as necessary.
Contract Management:
Manage contract in relation to finance in line with WWF contract management standard;
Donor contract management.
Third party contract management of Shanghai Office.
Negotiate the terms and conditions in 3rd party contract and ensure compliance with WWF China Program office 3rd party contract manual
To assist in monitoring & evaluating 3rd party contract performance.
Programe and Office Management:
Be responsible for general administration of Shanghai Office.
Assist programme communication activities associating to Shanghai Office.
Maintains good relationships with WWF UK and external donors, in order to achieve the Programme goals, and actively encourage their continued interest in supporting WWF/HSBC Partnership Programme of WWF China.
Assist other team members of Shanghai Office with logistic arrangements whenever activities and campaigns carried out by Shanghai office;
Assist programme staffs of Shanghai Office for better implementation of conservation activities if necessary
Lead and organize volunteer activities to support projects implementation;
Undertake other tasks allocated by Head of Shanghai Office.
Qualifications Required:
A university degree in finance, accounting or business administration
At least 5 years working experience in finance and administration;
Accounting qualification would be preferable;
A high degree of personal integrity and commitment to conservation;
Fluent speaking and writing in English
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation skills, ability to work in a team to achieve common goals
Proactive, innovative and output-oriented personality
Ability to multi-task, able to meet deadlines under pressure and develop partnership
