WWF, the global conservation organization that has been working in China for 27 years, is looking for a highly skilled professional to be a Senior Programme Officer for the Conservation Operations in WWF China Programme Office to be based in Shanghai.
This position will report to the Leader of Shanghai Programme of WWF HSBC Climate Partnership Yangtze Programme.
Senior Programme Officer-Shanghai Office
Major Function:
Leads within Shanghai on the implemented in the Lower Yangtze and Estuary, WWF HSBC Climate Partnership Yangtze Programme (hereafter referred as “the partnership programme”) under the overall framework of WWF HSBC Climate Partnership and consistent with the overall Yangtze Strategy and Action plan.
Implement components of the partnership programme in the Lower Yangtze and estuary, as well as Shanghai city, to meet the objectives of the programme – which are based around wise water use and low carbon economy.
Ensure effectively communication and collaboration among teams of the partnership programme in Shanghai and Wuhan, and the rest of those who are in relation to the programme in Beijing office.
Develop and maintain conservation partnership and network for the partnership programme.
Develop logframe, M&E and Work Plan for the project with the Lower Yangtze and Estuary.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop logframe, M&E, annual work plan and budget for the projects implemented in the lower Yangtze, estuary, and related mitigation components in Shanghai city.
Work closely with our partners to facilitate the project implementation effectively and efficiently.
Monitor and evaluate the projects implementation to make sure delivery of projects results.
Produce of technical reports timely of appropriate format, quality, and content, and within the specified time frame, to meet donor requirements, including Project Database updates.
Timely with related colleagues in strategic programmes, communication and other field offices.
Prepare materials for meetings of quarterly meeting with HSBC, WWF annual meeting, and half yearly meeting within team etc.
Provide effective technical supports and effectively communication with the partnership programme Account Manager to maintain a good partnership relationship between WWF and HSBC in China.
Maintain effective linkage among different project components to contribute overall objectives of the partnership programme.
Maintains good relationships with WWF UK and external donors, in order to achieve the partnership programme goals, and actively encourage their continued interest in supporting WWF HSBC Climate Partnership Yangtze Programme of WWF China.
Educate team members with your professional knowledge and skill.

Qualifications Required:
More than 5 years working experience in, environmental protection, city planning, energy and climate related sectors.
Experience in managing complex multisectorial projects
Good knowledge on energy efficiency, energy saving, climate change, water resource management, wetlands conservation, sustainable development of big city etc.
Hold Master in environmental science, energy utilization, natural geography.
Fluent speaking and writing in English and Mandarin
Good experience in international cooperation
Proactive, innovative and output-oriented personality
