Job Title:Assistant Campaigner(1 year contract)

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Campaigner is responsible for assisting Campaign Manager and Campaigners in implementing specific aspects of the campaign of
Greenpeace China. S/he will provide support in translation, media analysis, administration, budgeting and research in Greenpeace's
ongoing or emerging campaign works as designated by the Campaign Manager. S/he will participate in the preparation of projects that advance
the campaign goals and objectives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Works with Campaign Manager and Campaigners to develop and implement Greenpeace's ongoing or emerging campaign works as designated by the Campaign Manager.
2. Assists the team or, if instructed by the Campaign Manager, works independently in advancing campaign goals. This may include organizing public events, outreach events, and community activities.Initiates requests with strategically targeted groups. Assists the team in distributing or, if instructed by the Campaign Manager, distributes campaign materials and communicating the campaign's objective to the broader public.
3. Assists the team to maintain an active liaison with potential and established allied groups and coalition partners. Actively seeks out and participates in discussions with influential individuals and groups. Communicates with national/ provincial/ local officials related to environment policies and issues.
4. Assists the team to research and analyze a wide range of specialized material on campaign issues and strategies. May be required to do media work.
5. Responds to public inquiries about campaign issues and other matters. Prepares materials and publications. Attends and/or organizes conferences.
6. Works on special projects and other activities as instructed by the Campaign Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS
1.Bilingual language skills: internal and external communications of the campaign, both written and oral Mandarin Chinese and English.
2.Organizational and Time Management Skills: to assist the team in addressing fluctuating priorities; to accommodate office and on-site campaign work.
3.Planning Skills and Flexibility: to develop new approaches and advance campaign goals and objectives.

6.Tact and Enthusiasm: to function effectively within a highly charged atmosphere, under public scrutiny.
7.Computer Skills: to utilize word-processing, excel and telecommunications capabilities; to assist in the development, or to develop written materials on campaign issues and strategies.
KNOWLEDGE
1.Knowledge of the overall goals and intent of Greenpeace (including policies, guidelines, programs, campaigns and project activities): to achieve the campaign objectives of the world's largest environmental protection group.
2.Some knowledge of campaign techniques, strategies and practices: to develop campaign strategies and tactics.

POSITION TITLE: Publications & Production Officer (Part time-1 year contract)
Location: Beijing
PURPOSE OF POSITION
1. To ensure consistent and coherent implementation of Greenpeace China's campaign and communications strategies in publications (eg. Campaign reports, leaflets, and other related materials) and production (eg. merchandise, advertisement).
2. Effectively communicate Greenpeace China's campaign message to different target groups (government, media, corporate, supporters and allies) through publications and production related items.
3. To maintain and gate-keep Greenpeace China's brand image in all publications and production projects and ensure standards are kept to the highest.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate and implement all Greenpeace China's campaign related publications and production projects. Plan schedules and ensure all deadlines are adhered to.
2. Work closely with the fundraising, image and new media team to exchange information and ensure all projects are consistent with Greenpeace brand image and campaign message.
3. Gate-keep and provide publication and production contents including writing, translation, editing, proofreading and photo selection. Ensure languages and images used are appropriate for the target group, professional and consistent.
4. Monitor news for information that may be relevant to specific publications and carry out any associated further research.
5. Source and create pool of high standard and reliable designers, printing and production companies, advertising agencies, as well as editors and translators. Develop good working relationships and maintain contact database.
6. Source publications and production materials where necessary and ensure all Greenpeace China's projects are environmentally sound.
7. Identify effective advertising channels according to target groups. Plan and execute any above-the-line and below-the-line advertising projects.
8. Handle quotations and negotiate sound deals to ensure absolute cost effectiveness in all areas. Check invoices against quotes and ensure credit notes are followed up.
9. Liase with other Greenpeace offices to exchange publications, information and updates. Maintain and manage stock library including publications, merchandise etc.
10. Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Communications Director.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience in Marketing and Communications: At least 3 years working experience in marketing and communications. Commitment to the environment and the core values of Greenpeace. Able to identify target markets and communicate Greenpeace China's message in publications and production related items. Fluent in Mandarin and English. Advanced written Chinese and English.
2. Experience in Production and Editing: Demonstrate judgment based on a thorough understanding of Greenpeace production guidelines, target audience and campaign objectives. Makes the right editorial decisions, taking account of conflicting views. Strong visual sense. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is essential and understanding of graphic software is definitely a plus.
3. Implementation and Organizational skills: Able to coordinate and implement projects. Prioritizes and plans activities taking into account all the relevant issues and factors such as deadlines, budget and resources. Detail oriented.
4. Interpersonal and Negotiation: Able to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally. Adapts and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups. Good negotiation skills.
5. Resilience and Flexibility: Manage personal emotions and provocative situations effectively when under pressure and ability to work under tight deadlines. A flexible attitude in a demanding and rapidly changing environment. Able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives. Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
6. Initiative and Creative Thinking: Self-motivating and ability to work with minimum supervision to accomplish goals. Can look at existing situations and problems in innovative ways and come up with creative solutions. Able to transform creative ideas into practical reality.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position works in a standard office environment, and might require occasional travel to other Greenpeace offices for meetings, trainings and workshops.
