Oxfam Hong Kong is a member of Oxfam International and an independent development and relief agency based in Hong Kong working with poor and disadvantaged people in Asia and Africa. We are recruiting the following member to join us in our anti-poverty work:
Communications Officer (Web Site) --China Unit
(Based in Bei Jing , 3-year contract)
Main Areas of Responsibility:
1.To develop and implement effective and innovative on-line communications strategies to support programmes and organizational objectives;
2.To research and produce original content and various on-line tools for the web, including the production of digital media assets;
3.To commission and manage external agencies to develop web applications where necessary;
4.To analyze logs and external rankings and act accordingly on documented trends;
5.To monitor external sites and blogs for Oxfam Hong Kong references and respond appropriately in order to build profile and good relationships with other sites/blogs;
6.To keep up to date on new social media tools, best practice and how other organizations and companies are using them to identify new on-line work opportunities;
7.To undertake any other duties, as appropriate to the post, as delegated by the line manager.
Requirements:
1.At least 2 years experiences working on organizational or commercial web sites;
2.Excellent web publishing skills;
3.Experience producing web site applications and multimedia content;
4.Good understanding of on-line communications strategies and trends;
5.Excellent written and spoken Chinese; fluent written and spoken English;
6.Able to work constructively and collaboratively with team members;
7.Able to work independently with high degree of initiative in pressurized environment;
8.Proven interest in poverty and development work.
No expatriate package will be provided for the position
