“Restoring the web of life in the central Yangtze” --Wetland Ambassadors Spread the Novelty Vision
The award ceremony of the 2003 Wetland Ambassador Action-Tracing the lost lakes of the Yangtze

Many kinds of problems that caused by the lakes lost their connections of the Yangtze have already taken attractions of all circles in the central Yangtze, just through the college wetland ambassadors’ research and education in this summer. Meanwhile, the information collected by the wetland ambassadors is under analyzing, finally a unprecedented report on the socio-economic surveys and the bio-diversity of the past connected lakes will be completed. In order to commend the efforts and achievements of the wetland ambassadors, the award ceremony is held today in Wuhan, China.

“Tracing the lost lakes of the Yangtze-the 2003 Wetland Ambassador Action” is held by WWF (World Wide Fund for nature), the Ramsar Convention Implementing Office of the State Forestry Administration，the Yangtze Fishery Administration and the People’s Daily On Line. In April the action was launched and then chose 12 selected teams from the college EPAs (Environment Protection Association) and each team was given
