Objectives
• Share and exchange experiences on cooperative projects in environmental protection and conservation – especially in the fields of renewable energy and energy conservation
• Address issues concerning global warming and its effects on China
• Disseminate and discuss innovative methods and technologies
• Discuss corporate social responsibility and promote public-private partnerships
• Discuss education issues on climate changes for college students, women and children
• Introduce current internationally funded initiatives and how they relate to Chinese NGOs
• Conduct training workshops for NGO management and capacity building
• Foster formation of interest groups through networking and communication
• Discuss international collaborations regarding global warming
• Enhance NGOs roles in the formation of the civil society in China
• Enhance college students’ participation in environmental protection/conservation
• Organize a post-conference environmental tour
Topics
The Forum welcomes papers related to the above objectives. There will be a number of plenary addresses and panel presentations during which there will be simultaneous sessions taking place.
Language
Both Chinese and English will be spoken at the Forum and speakers will chose the language they feel most comfortable in making presentations. There will be translation services available.

Call for Papers
Papers on the conference topics and related topics are invited. Participants intending to present papers or posters are required to send in the abstract with about 300 words, in English or Chinese to the respective contact person for review before April 20, 2007 by email or fax. The abstract should clearly identify which Forum objective is being addressed, the presentation method (oral or poster), contact information including author(s) and address. Authors will be notified of their abstract’s acceptance by April 30, 2007 and be required to submit the full length papers before May 15, 2007. All of the accepted papers will be published in the proceedings.

Accommodation
Blocks of rooms at guest houses at the Wuhan University have been reserved at a special rate for conference participants ($30-$50/night) until June 1, 2007. Further information will be sent to registered participants and posted at the IFCE website (www.ifce.org)
Post-Conference Environment Tour
Two–day post-conference environmental tour will be arranged to visit famous Three Gorges Hydro-power Plant near Wuhan. The cost is estimated $250/person covering transportation, food and lodging. The detailed information will be posted on the IFCE website. Please send notice of interest as soon as possible, but no later than May 15, 2007.

The registration fee for international participants is US$350. A discount will be given to speakers and registered students.

The registration fee will cover the proceedings, all conference sessions, conference banquets, daily lunches and coffee and tea breaks.
