WWF, the global conservation organization that has been working in China for 27 years, is looking for a highly skilled professional to be a Communication Coordinator of Wuhan Office for the Conservation Operations in WWF China Programme Office to be based in Wuhan.
This position will report to the Head of Wuhan Programme Office.
Communication Coordinator - Wuhan Office
Major Function:
Develop and implement communication & magnification plan relating to WWF-HSBC Climate Partnership Project of WWF Wuhan office;
Carry out the communication activities in the WWF-HSBC Climate Partnership Programme of WWF office;
Prepare and assist to organize workshops of the WWF-HSBC Climate Partnership Programme of WWF Wuhan office..
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Work out communication plans according to logframe and annual work plan of this programme;
Ensure the activities delivery of communication in the WWF-HSBC Climate Partnership Programme;
Help Communication Manager of the WWF-HSBC Climate Partnership in Shanghai to develop quarterly newsletter and other communication materials for publicity (website wwfchina.org & livingyangtze.org , flyer, brochures, poster, VCD etc.);
Manage media relationship to increase public conservation awareness;
Conduct information in & out to increase profile of the WWF-HSBC Climate Partnership Programme to target audience;
Interpretation in formally meeting and translate important documents;
Coordinate the relationship with HSBC local office in Wuhan;
Prepare and assist to organize workshop of the WWF-HSBC Climate Partnership Programme;
Perform other tasks allocated by the Head of WWF China Wuhan office.
Qualifications Required
At least 2 years working experience in a relevant field of media, communication and public relationship;
Fluent speaking and writing in English and Mandarin.
At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and (with the knowledge of conservation and river basin management will be preferred);
A high degree of personal integrity and commitment to conservation;
Good and experienced coordination,communication and presentation skills;
Ability for teamwork and partnership development.
