PMI Global Leadership Seminar
Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from the Institute of International Education (IIE). It is my pleasure to share with you an exciting training and networking opportunity for NGO practitioners.
The Global Leadership Seminar for NGOs Working in Small Business Development will bring together twenty leaders of NGOs active in the area of economic development from around the world for an intensive, week-long professional development experience. The Global Leadership Seminar will provide NGO practitioners with an opportunity for learning and dialogue on leadership practices and competitiveness factors both on a global and local level. The Seminar will enrich participants’ knowledge of small business needs, encourage them to share and learn best practices and network with colleagues on a global level.
The Seminar will be held from September 10-15, 2005 in Cairo, Egypt. The language of Seminar sessions and working groups will be English. Participation is open to NGO practitioners who provide business development services in the countries listed in the attached application guidelines. Participation is through a competitive application and selection process.
The Global Leadership Project is funded through a generous grant by Philip Morris International (PMI). Participation is sponsored in full by the grant including international air travel, accommodations and meals, seminar materials, and a site seeing program in Cairo. Individuals selected to participate in The Seminar will be required to cover the cost of ground travel to international airports in their home countries, visa fees, and desired pocket money only.
Attached, please find the following:
