II. Organizational Context
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Deputy Country Director (Programme) , the Programme Analyst is responsible for management of UNDP programme within the thematic/sectoral areas assigned. The Programme Analyst analyzes political, social, economic and legal trends and leads formulation, management and evaluation of programme activities within his/her portfolio, provides policy advice services. The Programme Analyst focuses on the areas of rule of law and human rights, access to justice, development of legislative and oversight institutions, integrity, transparency and participation in governance, and other areas as assigned by supervisor. She/he is also responsible for advocating and mainstreaming the rights-based approach to development programming and implementation. The job involves developing close constructive relations with the Government of China, judiciary branches, people’s congresses, other UN agencies, donors, research institutes and think tanks, the private sectors as well as organizations of the civil society.
The Programme Analyst works in close collaboration with the programme and operations teams/units, staff in other UN Agencies, UNDP HQs staff and Government officials, technical advisors and experts, practitioners of multi-lateral and bi-lateral donors and civil society ensuring successful UNDP programme formulation, implementation and evaluation.

II. Organizational Context
Under the guidance and supervision of the Finance Analyst, the Finance Associate ensures effective execution of financial services and processes in the country office and transparent utilization of financial resources. The Finance Associate promotes a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations.
The Finance Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects’ staff in the country office and with UNDP headquarters staff for resolving finance-related issues and information exchange.
