Reminder -Deadlinefor completed application forms for the Whitley Awards 2011 + three references is Sunday October 31st 2010


TheWhitley Fund for Nature (WFN) is a UK registered charity offering “WhitleyAwards” to outstanding nature conservation leaders around the world.  WhitleyAwards are both an international profile prize and a form of project grant(currently £30,000 over one year, with a top prize of £60,000 overtwo years).

The application form for the Whitley Awards 2011 can be downloadedfrom www.whitleyaward.org.Nomination is not required.



You can read more about previous Award Winnersand eligibility requirements at www.whitleyaward.org. If you knowof a conservation leader who you believe should apply for the Whitley Award,please ask him or her to visit the website for all details of how to apply.Successful applicants will receive funding in June 2011.

WFNcurrently does not fund undergraduate projects, expeditions, MScs, governmentemployees or pure-research PhD work. WFN values locally-led, grassroots natureconservation. We aim to invest in in-country capacity and to championin-country leadership. Please see the attached document for more details.
