WCIF为来自欧洲和亚洲的青年积极分子提供一个机会，一起来为“联合国千年发展目标”确定的领域作出努力。为此，WCIF准备在2011年6月在保加利亚首都索菲亚举行“青年发展”论坛。 论坛将汇聚来自保加利亚、中国、拉托维亚、西班牙、泰国和越南的100个青年积极分子，一起讨论贫穷、社会歧视等全球议题，分享彼此针对“千年发展目标”的解决方案，并共同探讨青年人的角色。了解更多信息请登陆：www.youthindevelopment.org

1、哪些申请者是适合的？
We are looking for active young people, aged 18 to 25, who are members of youth organizations or informal youth groups with some experience of working on issues, which affect youth development. The candidates should be able to communicate fluently in English. They should be interested in sharing their creative ideas with the other participants in the international youth forum, and in establishing international partnerships for the realization of joint projects.
2、如何申请？
Send your essay, photography or project idea to the submission address for your country together with one-paragraph (250 words) information about you and your organization, and why you are interested to participate in the international youth forum.
3、申请者可以选择以下三个类型中的一项来提交相应材料:
1）Essay Contest
Each participant in the contest is invited to submit an essay of up to 5 printed pages (paper format A4, font Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5). Descriptions:
>>The essay must present a creative solution of a problem affecting youth development in the respective country.
>>It should demonstrate a good understanding of the root causes of the problem affecting the young people and suggestions of possible actions to solve the problem.
2）Photography Contest
Each participant in the contest is invited to submit up to 3 photos in electronic format, size 0.5 – 1 MB.
Descriptions:
>>The photos will present aspects of youth life in the participant’s country and focus on existing issues which need public attention.
3）Project Idea Contest
Each participant in the contest is invited to submit a project proposals of up to 5 printed pages (paper format A4, font Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5).
Descriptions:
>>The proposal will present a specific action plan for addressing a problem affecting youth development in one of the partner countries or globally.
>>The proposal should demonstrate a good understanding of the root causes of the problem and existing opportunities and resources for solving it.
>>The activities should be relevant to the project goal.
>>The results should be measurable.
>>The structure of the proposal should include project goal, objectives, proposed activities, timeframe, budget, and expected results.
